What to Expect

Worship Service

What might you expect when you visit with us? You will see that our assemblies are really rather simple. You will see that we sing and pray together, and that we study God’s Word through preaching and teaching (Acts 2:42; 20:7; Colossians 3:16). On the first day of every week, we also remember the Lord’s death as we partake of the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:17-34; cf. Acts 20:7). We also take up a collection from among our members, who voluntarily give back to God a part of what He has blessed us with, in order to continue the Lord’s work here in this place (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). If you choose to visit with us, we want to encourage you to examine everything we do in light of God’s word, and we welcome any and all of your Bible questions.

Bible Classes

January - March 2026

For the first three months of 2026, we are going to be dividing up into four separate Bible Study Groups. Each group is opened to anyone with no age restrictions. If visiting feel free to attend whichever group interests you the most.

Group 1 - Beatitudes

This will be a workbook-based discussion of the beatitudes and how this section of the Bible should steer our spiritual life to encompass our entire life.

Group 2 - Parables

Jesus traveled around teaching people about God and telling special stories called parables. These stories help us understand what God’s Kingdom is like and how Jesus wants what’s best for us. In this class, you’re invited to read and listen to Jesus’ stories then discuss what they mean to us today as we seek to follow Him.

Group 3 - The Loaded Bible

A “loaded Bible” is a personalized and annotated Bible that is used as a study tool. It is full of personalized touches to aid in study and provide support. Created a loaded Bible can be the perfect way to bridge the gap between overwhelming biblical information and equip us to feel more comfortable and encouraged to read our Bibles. God’s Word will accomplish the rest! We highly encourage you to bring a journaling Bible you love with you to this Bible study. Other materials needed would include: ‘no-bleed’ markers & pens, highlighters, glue sticks, scissors, paper, card stock paper, flash cards, post its, stickers, and any additional journaling supplies you would like to bring. (NOTE: This class is reserved for ladies only)

Group 4 - Christians & Violence

This study group explores how followers of Christ can faithfully navigate complex issues involving violence, justice, and protection in today’s world. Together we will examine Scriptures and Christian tradition as we discuss topics such as self-defense, ethical hunting, law enforcement adn military service, protests and civil disobedience, violent sports and media, capital punishment, and the realities of domestic violence. Our goal is to learn how God wants us to act, how to make good choices, and how to show love even when life gets hard. Everyone can share their thoughts as we learn and grow together in Christlike character as we wrestle with difficult questions.
